A very traditional dish and favorite for many! Yield: 4 servings Pannukakku - Finnish oven baked pancake Print A delicious and traditional recipe for Finnish oven baked pancake. Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 30 minutes Additional Time 1 hour Total Time 1 hour 45 minutes Ingredients 5 dl / 2 cups all purpose flour. 1 liter / 4 cups whole milk. 4 eggs. ½ teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon sugar. 100 grams / 1 stick butter. Instructions Start making the pancake mixture by mixing eggs, salt, sugar, flour, and melted butter with the milk in a large bowl. Beat into a smooth batter. Let the batter rest for at least an hour. This is important as it helps give the finished pancake the right spongy texture. Heat the oven to 200C/400F. Pour the pancake batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the pancake on the middle level in the oven for 30 minutes, until the pancake has a nice golden paper. Serve the pancake with your prerferred sides.
